Complementary Angles add up to 90 degrees
So to find the Complementary Angle, set up an equation that equals 90 degrees, then solve for X.
For example: to find the Complementary Anlge for 46 degrees you would do the following:
1st, set up the equation : X+46= 90
2cd, solve for X by subtracting 46 from each side.
Then you are left with X=44

Supplementary Angles add up to 180 degrees.
So to find the Supplementart Angle, set up an equation that equals 180 degrees, then solve for X.
For example: to find the Supplementary Anlge for 46 degrees you would do the following:
1st, set up the equation : X+46=180
2cd, solve for X by subtracting 46 from each side.
Then you are left with X=134
