Coterminal Angle Problems
Easy

1:Find a positive and negative coterminal angle for 10 degrees.
First add 360 to 10 to get your positive coterminal angle
                                        10+360= 370 degrees
Then subtract 360 from 10 to get your negative coterminal angle.
                                        10-360= -350 degrees

2:Find a positive and negative coterminal angle for 36 degrees.
First add 360 to 36 to get your positive coterminal angle.
                                        36+360=396 degrees
Then subtract 360 from 36 to get your negative coterminal angle.
                                        36-360= -324

3:Find a positive and negative coterminal angle for 28 degrees.

 Medium

1: Find a positive and negative coterminal angle for 265 degrees.
First add 360 to 265 to get your positive coterminal angle
                                        265+360= 625
Then subtract 360 from 265 to get your negative coterminal angle.
                                        265-360= -95

2:Find a positive and negative coterminal angle for 3pi.
First add 3pi to 2pi to get your positive coterminal angle.
        3pi+2pi=5pi
Then to get your negative coterminal angle you must subtract 2pi from 3pi.
        3pi-2pi=pi
This is the negative coterminal angle.

3: Find a positive and negative coterminal angle for 6pi.

Hard
1:Find a positive and negative coterminal angle for  8pi
                                                                                  2
First add 2pi to 8pi over two. To do this we need a common denominator of 2 so we multiply 2pi by 2 to get
                                                                  1
4 pi
  2
8pi + 4pi= 12pi
 2      2        2

This simplifies to 6pi, our positive coterminal angle.

Next to find our negative coterminal angle we need to subtract 2pi from 8pi
                            2
We wil use our common denominators from the positive coterminal angle.

8pi-4pi=4pi
 2     2    2
This simplifies to 2pi which is our negative coterminal angle.

2: Find a positive and negative coterminal angle for 9pi
                                                                                  4
First we must add 2pi by making common denominators of both radians. This is done by multiplying 2pi by four to
                                                                    1
get 8pi
       4
9pi+8pi=17pi This is our positive coterminal angle.
 4     4      4
Next we must subtract 8pi from 9pi
                                     4           4
9pi-8pi=pi This is our negative coterminal angle.
  4   4    4
3. Find a positive and negative coterminal angle for 8pi
                                                                                  3
